These pages are dedicated Lyle Herbert Zahler - Dad. Dad helped establish initial connections to the family of Otto Zehler, the only Zehler relatives he knew. Dad also gave important clues to the family's origin in Germany, and provided interesting background on how the spelling of our family name changed from Zehler to Zahler. Most important, he was a dedicated, loving father, whose encouragement and support nurtured the success of his children, and whose warmth and charm drew him close to his family and all his many friends.
