Filomena Seno and Pio Cortes

of Mandaue, Cebu, Philippines

Filomena Seno was born about 18873 the daughter of Gabriel Seno and Isabel del Castillo.  On July 10, 1907, she married Pio Cortes, son of Marcelina Cortes3.  Filomena and Pio had nine children.

As related by Diosdado Suico, Filomena and Pio, along with several members of their family, were found hiding in a tunnel and killed by the Japanese during World War II14.

i. Ricardo "Darding" Cortes Ricardo was born February 7, 19123.
ii. Francisca "Paquit" Cortes Francisca was born March 9, 19143.  She married Benito Bontog3.
iii. Pastor Cortes Pastor was born July 26, 19163.
iv. Maria Cortes Maria was born June 8, 19183.
v. Jose Cortes Jose was born April 13, 19213.
vi. Fermin "Eming" Cortes Fermin was born July 7, 19233, and died July 15, 19933.  He married Asuncion Ceniza3.
vii. Renica Cortes Renica was born February 13, 19253.
viii. Benigno Cortes Benigno was born November 20, 19263.
ix. Helen Cortes Helen was born March 21, 19293.
